PHILANTHROPY
Sigma Sigma Rho Sorority, Incorporated is an organization that is a strong advocate for Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention. Being young women in today's society, we promote gender equality and women's rights.
While we host events throughout the year to support Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention, Sigma4Society and our fall charity gala are our two notable events. Sigma4Society is a week dedicated to hosting events to spread awareness about domestic violence. We host informational events, workshops and fundraisers to raise money to support our local philanthropy, Peaceful Paths, and give back to our community through service.
FALL CHARITY GALA
We host an annual fall charity gala with a guest speaker and a few performances all to help raise awareness and fundraise for Peaceful Paths. All proceeds from this event are donated to our local philanthropy, and thanks to our incredible community, we're able to provide support.
1ST CHARITY GALA
On December 2nd, 2017, we were so humbled to have put on our first Annual Charity Gala! Our chapter successfully raised $1,000 for Peaceful Paths!
Our guest speaker, Samra Zafar, advocates tirelessly for equity, human rights, women's rights, diversity and inclusion. She traveled all the way from Canada to share her powerful story. Her message spoke volumes to the cause of domestic violence awareness and prevention.
We also had many performances to keep our guests entertained, some of these performers being our own Sisters!
